I am the founder of allaboutthestory.com and very much enjoying developing the site and trying to make it easier for writers and editors to do business with each other.
My background is in reporting, sub-editing and producing daily newspapers in New Zealand and the UK, and I was a key member of the team who designed and launched the web-and-print integration project at the Telegraph in London. I fell in love with workflow and process mapping while I was there and continue to consult on newsroom integration and worklow projects.
In more than 20 years in journalism I have been a reporter, writer, sub-editor, page layout sub, chief sub-editor, radio presenter, workflow specialist, editorial manager, teacher and now owner of a media startup.
I blog about journalism at http://evolvingnewsroom.co.nz and from time to time I write stories, which I post for sale here on allaboutthestory.com.
You can find out more about me at http://www.linkedin.com/in/starrjulie and you can follow me on Twitter as @starrjulie and @aboutthestory.

It’s stifling hot, we’ve been lounging on a houseboat in Srinagar for days and we’re climbing the walls with boredom. Suddenly, there’s relief. Not rain, but a pronouncement. We’re going to the mountains, says the Old Man, a singular Kashmiri grandfather and notable cook whose family I am staying with.
