My friend has told me all about her funeral. It’s presumably a long way off yet, but she has it all worked out. It’s even typed up on her computer. Her husband knows where to find the details when the time comes. She wants, she tells me, to have a white casket. And her makeup is to be subtle. Her face should not be ghostly white, just natural looking and her lips should neither take on the bright red of Marilyn Monroe nor the flamingo pink of Barbara Cartland. My friend is a woman of style in life, and so she wants to be seen in death.
