For the past 40 years Garrick Tremain has been a professional landscape painter, and also New Zealand's most widely published political cartoonist for the past 20 years. He has downscaled his cartoon exposure and now appears in only the Otago Daily Times, the newspaper which first published his work in 1988.
He has also published 15 volumes of political and editorial cartoons, "20 years of Garrick Tremain" a resume of his 20 years of daily cartooning, and "Nursery Rhymes Mother Never Read You" New Zealand's biggest selling book of verse.
